The time has (finally) come.

I am incredibly excited to reveal the project I’ve been secretly working on for over a year - as well as it’s glorious cover… WIND WALKER - a FREE to listen, episodic, audiobook podcast.

I decided to do the reveal so close to release because I suck at promo, but I do have a few things planned over the next few weeks that should clear up exactly what this project is and how it’s going to work. The short version is that - over a course of weeks - everybody with access to a podcast provider will be able to listen to an entire, high-quality fantasy novel for FREE.

My goal and my dream is still traditional publication, but with (waves hands at disappearing imprints and encroaching AI) everything going on in the industry, I decided to try something a bit different. I couldn’t afford to self-pub the usual way (…traditional self-pub??) and suddenly!! an idea struck.

‘Natalie, you love the sound of your own voice. Why don’t you just read your books to people??’

Yes, you read that right. Not only have I written and edited the text, I have also narrated, edited and produced the audio. NOW, I KNOW WHAT YOU’RE THINKING. Oh god, this is gonna be like when people show up to talent shows because their grandma insists they sing like an angel, but then they start singing and they are the absolute worst… I understand. I had that fear myself (the main reason this project has taken me over a year is because I have self-rejected continuously), but I promise you - I’ve put my work through rigorous quality control and I’m my hardest critic. I wouldn’t publish it if it wasn’t good.

For now, I’ll leave you with the full blurb for this novel. The next big update will come in a week, on Monday August 14th when I’ll publish the FOREWORD. This will be a short episode where I dig into the who, what, when, where, and why of the project. It will also include a two minute teaser, and will be your first chance to subscribe to the podcast so you don’t miss a single chapter.
